This year more than ever it is important to show small businesses our support. With what’s happening in our country and the economic instability we are facing globally, shopping small and local this holiday season can make a big impact. I have a few favorite spots in town I will be shopping at this year so I figured I’d share my list with you. Here are all the places I’ll shop small in Greater Lafayette, Indiana this year!

Skin by Carrington: Every treatment with Carrington is the epitome of relaxation and self-care. She goes the extra mile to ensure that every feature of her space and process contributes to your comfort and calm.
Let’s Clean Indiana: I know what you’re thinking. “Cleaning?! As a Christmas gift?!” But if you have a mom anywhere on your list, I can virtually guarantee this would be a welcome gift. I would cry while jumping for joy if someone got me a gift certificate for house cleaning this Christmas. Moms everywhere are drowning under the mental load, so why not take cleaning off their plate?
Arise Revitalized: My husband and I are big massage people. It’s our number one form of self-care. But we both suck at it, so we leave it to the professionals. Arise Revitalized just opened inside of the Dimension 7 Hub in downtown Lafayette, so I’m looking forward to booking my first massage with her and maybe grabbing a gift card or two!

Lafayette Lettering: Natalie just launched her online store for her greeting cards and custom clipboards, but she also offers commissions (I just finished messaging her about an idea for someone I need a gift for and I can’t wait to see what she designs). This year she even added holiday gift tags to her offers and they are so stinkin’ cute!
Essentially Aqua: I’m a sucker for handmade shower + bath products. Every single holiday gift I purchased last year was from Essentially Aqua! And now that they’ve expanded to be The Market on Main, there’s even more to love there!
Flora Candle Co.: Currently burning the last of my Cactus Blossom candle that I picked up this summer! Looking forward to going back soon to grab a couple Winter scents for myself when I do some holiday shopping!

Seajay’s Boutique: Seajay’s just brought out their new holiday collections and everything is so adorable. They have so many unique items that I know I’ll find what I need for several folks on my list. I’m eyeing up the holiday bow hair clips for myself (wink, wink).
Retail Therapy: This is my favorite stop in town for Purdue things! From jewelry to glassware and more, they’ve got tons of options if you need something small for a Purdue fan. And they have super cute clothes to help you
Urban Huntress: I love popping in here because she’s got the best variety. A little vintage, a little edgy, a little feminine–there’s something for everyone, truly. AND Taylre brings her pup into the shop which just makes the whole experience even more fun.

Reveille Coffee Bar/Cellar Wine Bistro: You know how I feel about Reveille. I’m there every week to get out of the house in the few hours I have a sitter. By day, Reveille does coffee, and by night they become Cellar Wine Bistro. Which means I get to purchase gift cards for coffee AND some carry out wine for host gifts.
Every’s Ice Cream: My kid is OBSESSED with Every’s Ice Cream, so I’ll be tossing a gift card into his stocking this year! He loves being able to pay for his own ice cream and sometimes he even offers to pay for my ice cream too. It’s so sweet and I love seeing him offer to share his gifts with others.
10.10 Bakery: Okay, I know, 10.10 isn’t technically in Lafayette, but they’ve been offering cookie and cake decorating classes lately and I know a few folks on my list would absolutely love to take part in those. Plus I’ll always grab a couple cookies or cupcakes from here for gatherings (and a few for myself because I have no restraint)!

I’m excited to shop small in Greater Lafayette, Indiana this holiday season! From commissioned art products to food and wine to self-care services, and so much more, Greater Lafayette is the perfect place to support small businesses. And if you’re a small business looking to shop small and local for your brand photos, send me a message! I’d love to work with you!
